A Born Pretty Store Review: Fascinator Rodeo Mini Top Hat

Upon finding that http://www.bornprettystore.com was starting to sell hair accessories, I was so excited to see their new line of products. I saw this adorable mini pink hat fascinator and fell in love.  From the time it was shipped I received my new addition for my addiction within about a week and a half (this company is located in China).  When I first removed my hat from the box they sent, I was enchanted by its small darling size and craftsmanship.

 I wore it that Sunday to church, and received many kind compliments on my attire. I also wore it to Women's Bible Study on Tuesday night. The outfits I chose to pair with this accessory were basic black with a hint of pink. I wanted my clothing to be simple, so that the hat would be eye catching, but not overdone.

This is the perfect accessory to spice up any outfit for that special night out. 

A touch of sophistication and allure.

I was thrilled to find that the clips adhered to this hat kept this accessory in place during our windy winter weather. It stayed firmly in place when I walked from the parking lot, with no shelter from the gusts, to our church. I am quite pleased with this accessory and have absolutely nothing negative to say about it.

 I was thrilled to receive my Cool Cucumber Face Mask Peel to test through the Influenster's VoxBox program. I have been using Montagne Jeunesse's clay/warming masks since I was in high school. I often find them at my local Walmart and CVS Pharmacy for very cheap prices.  When I was in school, at the end of a long week of study for hard tests, on the weekends I would have a home spa night. I would run a bubble bath, play soft music, give my hair a hot oil treatment, cleanse my face, and then apply one of my Montagne Jeunesse's hot sauna masks.

I tried my cucumber peeling mask last night. After cleansing my face, I applied a thin layer over my entire face and then relaxed for about a half hour. Following the removal of the mask my skin felt soft and exfoliated.  I continue to be "wowed" by this companies products.

X Out Review

  I received received this product complimentary to test through Influenster’s VoxBox program, and I must say I am totally loving it!!

  X out is said to be a product to eliminate blemishes and acne. I do not often battle acne as others do, however I have been dealing with black heads from high school into adulthood. I had never considered that I could get rid of most of my blackheads with a product. I merely would cover it up with cosmetics. Upon receiving this product in the mail, I was very skeptical about what this mask/cleanser/spot treatment could deliver. Sick as I was of trying so many different brands, I took it for a spin, having nothing to lose.

  And I am so glad I did. I decided to try it as a cleanser. I noticed a burning sensation and my face turning red. The sensation reminded me of a cool mint in a way. After two minutes of careful scrubbing, I rinsed my face revealing that most of the blackheads on my cheeks and nose had vanished.

  On occasion, when I do notice a zit, I use as a spot treatment as well. By the end of the day, it also vanishes. Note, considering that my face is very dry I always use a moisturizer after the use of this product.

I have noticed when glue is reapplied these nails stay on a lot better than cheaper false nails I have purchased in the past. They look very nice when first applied. They do not last more than a few days, as I have had some nails come off; and the decals are starting to chip (I would advise those who try this product to apply a layer of clear polish to seal the detailing).

Regardless of the mishaps, these nails I find much better than other falsies I have purchased at stores, and would love to try some more of their sets in future. Thank you influenster for sending this product.

     Once applied, immediately there is a delectable fruity smell.  It has the most perfect sheen; looks natural and softens any makeup look. Just show stopping! They do advertise it to be non-sticky. However, when I did the "hair whip test," it failed miserably, and in result my long locks adhered to my glossy lips. Thus, I recommend when in use--have your hair up in a "do" or tied back. Considering I normally have my hair up, I rate this product five stars!!

Open Holiday Vox Box from Influenster

   Last friday I recieved goodies in the mail from an affiliation called Influenster at http://www.influenster.com. I was delighted to find many things that I could use on a day to day basis--a break from routine. It also made Christmas a little more exciting considering Santa is broke this year.  The following are pictures of what I discovered in my Holiday vox box. I have tried some things out and look forward to incorporating the rest in my day to day activities.

Online Haul from I-Candy Couture

  I believe it was this past Monday I checked my mail box, to find a brown envelope/package peeping out at me. In scripted in marked, bold, black letters was the sender's mailing address. YES! I grabbed it and rushed inside to my kitchen. "My order came from the black Friday sale at I-Candy, Jarod!" I shouted to my husband in the other room. "Do you want to see what you got me for Christmas?"

 Waiting for no reply, I tore into my package, also dialing up Honey to let her know my order had arrived. I found myself overwhelmed when I saw all but a silver bracelet concealed in cute white boxes tied in deep, purple ribbon. Haha, what to open first?!

  On Black Friday, Honey graciously announced that if you spent twenty five dollars or more you would receive free shipping on your order, in addition to a free pair of hand crafted earrings, and an entry in a giveaway (for six sample sized pigments, or one full sized shadow pigment).  A few days after jumping on this deal, buying up jewelry I had been eyeing for some time and all but six sample shadows, I was notified that I had won the giveaway, thus, enabling me to get the remaining six shadows I was unsure about.

  Sporting my jewelry around and experimenting with my new shadows has been a sheer delight! I wish my pencil liner lasted as long as the beautiful pigments Honey created for me.  The shadows are very pigmented and can be worn dry or wet for a foiled effect.  So far I have fallen in love with the candy cane I use for highlight and extra shimmer on my entire lid over other pigments, and peaches n cream. I look forward to ordering them both in full size.  I am truly excited to see more releases from I-Candy because I am totally loving what I have tried so far!
